Council Talk & Reception: Every Day: Selections from the Collection

Members at the Patron’s Council level and above

Members at the Patron’s Council level and above are invited for an exclusive presentation of the BMA’s newest contemporary acquisitions in the exhibition,Every Day, led by BMA Director Christopher Bedford.

Every Day is the first reinstallation of the BMA’s Contemporary Wing centered on the critical contributions black artists have made to the evolution of visual art from 1945 to the present. The sweeping reinstallation captures the aesthetic and conceptual interplay between those artists that have been underrepresented in artistic and cultural dialogues and those artists who have traditionally been celebrated for their vision and work. Nearly 50 works of painting, sculpture, video, and more from the BMA’s permanent collection are presented alongside a select group of loans, primarily from the celebrated Pamela J. Joyner and Alfred J. Giuffrida Collection.
